Updates on the stuff below: If everything goes according to plan, you should see a complete overhaul of the site in early March. MagnoliaPetz is going to become a site focused on a-life games in general (some of the essays might be quite academic, I'm afraid, but there will also be reviews and strategy guides on a variety of games). The first animation project is in progress and its web premiere will coincide with the new site launch!

BIG CHANGES COMING SOON!

Very big changes are in the works for MagnoliaPetz.com. In brief, it will no longer be a Petz fan site (although most of the old content will still be available!).

As you may have noticed, this site was pretty much abandoned when I started college. I have lost interest in being an active member of the petz online community. However, I do plan to start updating this site again, and I think that you'll like the new content. Keep reading...

I've developed an interest in animation (which I hope to make a career of). I'd like to produce some short cartoons in Flash, and as I was fishing around for topics I immediately thought of this site --- back when I was updating with a long dialogue between petz on the front page, several of my petz developed personalities which were completely independant of anything in the Petz programs. So above you see the first of several character sketches that I've done (in fact, there's a whole storyboard pinned up by my computer right now).

I have no idea when this will all be ready... a site redesign is in order, and I will be server-shuffling again as well. I'd really like to have something up in February for reasons of my own but I'm not making any promises.

It's going to be like Petz Theater, but one-hundred-times more fantabulous! :)
