MBC's Hexed Breedz

All of these breed files are for Petz 3. I have no plans to port them up into any of the other programs. If you have the desire to, then I highly encourage it! Send me a copy of your final product, and I'll post it here, giving you full credit for your 3l33t p3tz h@x0r skills. :)

All are zipped, and most contain a Readme file. All work on my machine, but use at your own risk... I cannot be responsible for any damage that you cause to your petz or computer while messing around with breed files!

Breed files for PKC shorthairs are linked to from my breed standard.
These breed files let you adopt new colors of orange shorthairs.

Non-Overwriting Breed Files

These breed files show up in the adoption center by themselves. Simply place the file in your Resource/Dogz or Resource/Catz folder.

Note: you won't be able to import these petz into the other petz programs until someone updates the breed file! Right now they only work in Petz 3!

MBC Catz (v2.0)
DOWNLOAD FOR CATZ 3

Our first breed, the rainbow-sparkly MBC Catz! The cool thing about these kittens is that they don't need any external texture bitmaps because I embedded them. I've updated the file; now they're blue.

MBC's Shetland Sheepdog
DOWNLOAD FOR DOGZ 3

MBC's Shelties are finally finished and ready to meet the world!

I'm pretty proud of this one, especially after seeing UbiSoft's efforts at creating dogz breedz. Based on the Chihuahua.

Overwriting Breed Files

These breed files replace other breed files in the game. For example, to use the Somali breed files: open the folder ...Petz3\Resource\Catz\. Remove Siamese.cat (make sure that Petz 3 is closed!) and put it in a safe place. Then put the breed file for the color of somali that you want to adopt in the Catz folder and change its name to Siamese.cat. If you are using the blue file, put the bitmap file in the Resouce\Catz folder as well. Open Petz 3 and adopt some Siamese kittens!

When breeding, remember that the program sees Siamese and somalis as the same breed. You need to have the somali breed file in for kittens to look like somalis, and if you breed siamese with the somali file in, the kittens will look pretty weird. (To avoid confusion, I reccomend putting "Hexed Somali" as the owner for any kittens you adopt.) Also note that if you keep the blue file in, all kittens will have the blue fur texture.

PKC APPROVED BREED FILES!

I saw some pictures of a real somali and loved the breed. The hexed breed files that I found didn't capture the grace and beauty of these kitties, however, so I set to work with my hex editor! :) If you'd like to read more about the real breed, Tadofa Somalis is a cattery with a nice website, http://www.tadofa.com/

NOTE: NOT PKC ACCEPTED COLOR

This version uses a fur file (I hope to hex paint something later, but it keeps doing something funny to the ankles). Chew toy not included, but you see how my model looks when I try to take her favorite toy away...

Large Munsterlander
DOWNLOAD FOR DOGZ 3

This file replaces Dalmatian.dog. The Large Munsterlander (I'm too tired to look up the accents) is a real life German breed. It is not yet recognized by the AKC, but it is an official breed in the UK and recognized by the PKC... this is a breed in progress; I may tweak it some more.
