There's been a lot of fighting in the petz community lately.
That's a big statement. Think about it - a bunch of young people come together because they share a hobby. How do we end up leaping at one another's throats?
Sure, P4 brought in a huge new wave of newbies - be glad that the game is still selling well. With all of that cash in their pockets, maybe P.F. Magic will start thinking about fufilling some of their promises. And I know it's been said a thousand times, but we were all newbies once.
Maybe there are a lot of newbies out there who need to stop demanding to be spoon-fed. But there are also some "old-timers" who need to climb down from their pedastals and answer honest questions. And we all need to stop hitting that button that says "Send" or "Post" until we've calmed down and thought through our response. I'm not saying that there aren't jerks in the world - but we don't have to be jerks back.
And on copying people... Duplicate names happen, people. It doesn't mean that you've been copied. There have been several other "magnolia" petz sites - and I've been on good terms with all of them. Duplicate ideas can happen, too. So many thousands of litters have been made that the same ideas have to come up. For example, I've seen dozens of black dalmations with white spots. Get over it.
Maybe it's lack of guidance. A lot of leaders have left the petz community recently because it "just wasn't fun anymore". And it is stressful to maintain a good petz site. When you add a full school workload to an inbox full of idiotic questions and/or hatemail - it becomes overwhelming very quickly. Before emailing someone, LOOK for the answer yourself... it'll save frustration all around.

Does anyone even remember this graphic? After Jonas died, we all rallied around it. The saddest part of this whole mess is that we've forgotten his dream.
Maybe the petz community just needs a reminder. Please, please copy the above PLFP graphic and post it at your site or club - wouldn't it be great to see it on every webpage again?
