Notes on Runaways...

When I first got petz, I was really worried about my petz running away. I wasn't sure what level of care was expected of me... what if I didn't play with them enough every day? What if I didn't brush them enough?

After using the slider-brain registry key, I've gained new insight into petz runaways. Each time that you open petz, 10 points are added to the "neglect" variable. Taking them out and petting them knocks this back down to zero. Just make sure to pet each petz every time that you open the program --- this is what I've done for years and I have never had a runaway!

If you have too many petz to take out each one every day, then use a folder system to organize your *.pet files and don't have all of them in the "Adopted Petz" folder at the same time.
