Babbage

Babbage is the family's new puppy. He is a schnauzer/poodle mix and as smart as he is cute. :) We are planning to train Babby as a therapy dog in the coming year; right now he's working on basic obedience. At four months old he is housebroken and well-socialized; he knows sit, come, and fetch, and has almost mastered down.

I also have aquatic snails of various species: Physa sp. (Common pest aquarium snail), Planorbella sp. (another common aquarium pest snail), Viviparus malleatus (Japanese Trapdoor Snail, Chinese Mystery Snail), Marisa cornuarietis (Ramshorn snail), Pomacea bridgessi (Apple Snail, Mystery Snail)Pomacea canaliculata (Apple snail, Gold Mystery Snail), and Neritina natalensis. I hope to get all of these species to breed in captivity this coming winter. The physids and pomacea bridgessi are already producing eggs.

I am starting to breed betta splendens --- the cambodian female at the top of this page is one of my foundation fish, although I am planning to work mostly with blues and marbles.
