Pet Products' Rat Food! We started feeding this
to our ratties last year, after a vet suggested it.
(The conversation went something like this ---
Vet: What are these blue marks on Chase's
ears?
Cathy: Stains from the neon blue pudding she ate last night.
[LONG PAUSE]
Vet: Let me get you a brochure about rat nutrition...)
I decided to order some of the food, just to try it, expecting
something like lab blocks (which my rats were already familiar
with, since they got lab blocks and hamster food every day.
Mariel had a cute habit of sorting
the hamster food by size. She would take the lab blocks directly
into the poop corner and bury them in disgust). Instead -
I found that my ratties WENT CRAZY
over it! And now Jo's babies, who have never eaten anything
else, are the biggest and healthiest rats I've ever owned.
This food seems pricey, but it was actually less than we were
spending on hamster food and lab blocks each week.
