Awwww! Little eyes are starting to open!

Four are silver fawn hooded and two are fawn with white
bellies. The litter seems to be evenly split with three
boys and three girls, two hooded and one solid of each.

June 11th --- We got lots of pictures today when we
cleaned out the cage. Joanna jumped into the other rat cage
to play with Chase while we watched the babies.

Five of the babies cuddled in a towel while one little
girl (who Sharon has picked out as her special pet, or perhaps
the other way around) sat on Sharon's shoulder.

Before I was done cleaning, everyone --- the babies
being held and Joanna and Chase in the other cage
--- had fallen asleep!

June 14th: Now they're starting to behave like little
rats.

They groom themselves and are starting to be interested
in food.

"We're helping Mommy eat!"

"Auntie Chase" (aka "The Unphotogenic")
jumped into the cage to play and was mobbed by baby rats
(who were confused by her lack of milk).

Meanwhile, Joanna jumped into Chase's cage for some
peace and quiet. She's made this a habit, and now we let
Chase babysit several times a day while Joanna eats and
even naps in the other cage. All eight rats seem to love
this arrangement.

"Chew on Chase's Tail" is a favorite game.
