Rules:
1. Have only one kennel/zoo/whatever as to not confuse Sharon out of her wits!
:)
2. Keep cats, dogs, and horses purebred; and all other critters very specific
as to species (i.e. - do not say, "this is a bear", say, "this
is a Grizzly Bear".)
3. Don't inbreed, it's yucky.
4. Your outlines must be wholly your own. No using free outlines that others
provide, no using clipart, etc...
5. Be nice :)
Now that you've read those rules, you're on your way to joining the FCC!
It's really quite simple, but here's a numbered guide of what you have to do to join the FCC. Just follow along and you'll join up in no time at all!
1. Make your kennel... cattery... zoo... whatever. It's hard to know what to call it, but we all know what I mean - you gotta have a page to put all this stuff. Even if you know absolutely no HTML, you still can! Lissa Explains it All not only has HTML tutorials for everything from creating the most simple pages to building iFrames, but last time Sharon checked there was also a good list of places that will give you free webspace there!
2. Make your first outlines and your foundation creatures. Pick whatever creature you want to start breeding first (whether it's lemurs or labradors) and create an outline of an adult. You can use this outline as many times as you want to create foundation creatures (the first in your kennel that have no pedigree because they weren't bred from anything). As you come up with each new creature, try to give him or her a personality - they'll need it when you start roleplaying! You may want to go ahead and do a baby outline of the same critter when you decide to breed your first foundation creatures.
3. Read the documentation here under Info. It's important to assign numbers to all of your creatures because they'll factor heavily into shows and other events! You might also get an idea for a Theme Creature Competition, and, of course, you'll want to read up on roleplaying.
4. Sign up at the message boards! Once you're there, give Sharon the address to your website and take your member badge. Ta da! You're a member!
See, that isn't so hard... is it? ;)
