Creating an Employee Evaluation (continued...)

In the upper center of the screen is a teal blue section where you can enter the name of the employee, the evaluator's name, and other relevant information to customize the review form for each person in this position.

You will also see Overall Score. After you have scored all the sections of the evaluation, the overall score will appear there.

If you click on any item in the tree, you will see that section of the job description in the main text area.

Below the job description is another text area titled Comments. This is a place for you to write comments that will be included in the review and will be printed with it if you print it.

The next text area is called Confidential Comments and works the same way except that its contents are not to be shown to the employee; they don't print on the printed evaluation.

In either of the notes boxes, you can right-click and choose "Insert Date and Time" to label a note with the current date and time.

If you have kept good notes throughout the year, you have almost everything you need to do an effective review right in front of you — job expectations, measurements, and notes on the person's performance.
